Pre-Professional Programs
The Office for Pre-Professional Development (OPPD) provides a variety of resources and services to UTRGV students interested in pursuing a postbaccalaureate degree in one of nine professional programs including medicine, podiatric medicine, dentistry, and physician assistant studies. Joint Medical Admissions Program (JAMP) Administration: The office will coordinate JAMP on behalf of UTRGV and all related requirements and activities.
Outreach & Programming: Through information sessions, workshops, and presentations, the office will collaborate with campus and external partners to provide the most up-to-date information.
Entrance Exam Preparation: The office will offer recommendations and guidance on preparation for the MCAT, DAT, GRE, and other exams required for admission to professional programs.
Faculty Networking: The office will collaborate with UTRGV faculty for mentorship and guidance on letters of recommendation.
